Mario Kuhn

 

The technical lead is headed up by Mario Kuhn, a glob-trotting German engineer with an extensive background in complex machine sales, medium to large scale business project development and even setting up production lines in West Africa. Mario’s endless curiosity has even seen him build a fully functional farm on the rural North bank of The Gambia.

Based in Cape Town with a secondary base in Germany, he works directly with clients, investors, and customers in key markets.

Taking the creative lead is copywriter Amy Kuhn, a born and bred South African with over 15 years experience in marketing, advertising, and brand development. Amy has spent the last 5 years managing marketing and sales teams within the industrial tooling sector. With her keen eye for business concepts, she brings clarity and creativity to even the most complex brands.

Our Legacy

Lighthouse Ink is the next chapter of a journey that began as a creative studio (known back then and "lorem Ipsum").

Originally founded as a creative-led marketing agency and publishing house, the business has evolved through multiple phases - building deep experience in content, branding, and business strategy along the way.

Today, that creative foundation remains - but the focus is sharper:
B2B marketing, sales alignment, and growth.

Engineering, ISO 9001 Quality Control Systems, and Project Development. 

As is so often the case, when people join forces they create something bigger than the sum of their parts. That's exactly what happened when Mario and Amy realised that their skills and work are complimentary. 

Mario brought in more than just engineering, quality control systems and precision  - he opened the way into a global landscape of complex international sales deals and cross cultural project development. 

By bridging the gap between Africa and Europe, he opens unique doors for customers on both sides of the pond.
